Have you met Mr. Goxx yet? He made 20% gains since he began trading cryptocurrencies on June 12th. Mr. Goxx has an interesting method; he chooses which cryptocurrency he will trade by running on a wheel and landing on one and chooses to buy or sell by which tunnel he uses. Mr. Goxx got the attention, outperforming Dow Jones, Berkshire Hathaway, and honestly many experienced traders. Elon Musk even tweeted about him, telling that he has “mad skillz!!” If you want some advice, you can watch his live streams on Twitch.

You must be wondering who this genius is by now.

🎨 NFTs

DC Comics is partnering with Palm NFT Studio to release comic book NFTs for free. NFTs will be offered to people who register for the online DC FanDome 2021 event in October.
Now I’m excited…!!! The video game designer behind The Sims, Will Wright, is making an NFT game. “Proxi” is a simulation game driven by AI, and it takes the players on a self-discovery journey by tapping into the subconscious.
TikTok announced an NFT collection of top content creators. TikTok Top Moments will feature six “culturally significant TikTok videos,” including Lil Nas and Gary Vaynerchuk. Other names that are in the project are COIN ARTIST, Grimes, RTFKT.
JPG announced the first community-owned and curated JPG gallery, featuring 104 fractionalized Crypto Punks. You can visit Punk Pieces here.
Gary Vee’s five hand-drawn doodles from his VeeFriends collection were sold for $1.26 million at the Christie’s auction last Friday.

Manifold.xyz introduced Manifold Studio, the ‘best way to deploy creator-owned contracts and mint your own verified NFTs.’ They support high-resolution videos and images, 100% decentralized storage, compatibility with major NFT platforms, and more.
In October, House of Lobkowicz will host a free exhibition of notable NFT works, including an Edward Snowden NFT. William Lobkowicz, the family heir, returned to Czechoslovakia after living in exile in the US to claim his family’s collection of 40,000 pieces dating back 700 years. The artworks are in danger because of Covid-19, so Lobkowicz turned to NFTs to support physical works IRL.

🔮 Metaverse News

Facebook has put $50 million into use to build the metaverse responsibly. Facebook announced the XR Programs and Research Fund, a two-year initiative to fund its own projects and research from various groups, such as the Organization of American States, Women in Immersive Tech, Electric South, and Africa No Filter.
Cryptovoxels is working on bringing ‘multiplayer’ to spaces. Right now, spaces are private and have a cap of 5 people.
This is not necessarily a crypto news story, but it’s exciting and falls under metaverse news. London city officials are building out a digital version of one of the city’s boroughs, Harrow, using 3D radar-like sensor technology that builds accurate representations of its surroundings via pulses of light. Via this model, the city planners will simulate changes before implementing them in the physical world.

💃🏼 Fashion

The high fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana auctioned off NFTs for nearly $5.7 million worth of ETH, including digital fashion items and some physical items of apparel or jewelry to the high bidder alongside the digital version. Red DAO emerged as they snatched three NFTs, including the top sale.

👾 NFT Games

The founder of Atari, Nolan Bushnell, will release classic arcade machines NFTs, with an unlockable 3D Augmented Reality experience built within. The Arcade OG Series will be released on MakersPlace.

Axie Infinity distributed 800,000 $AXS (over $60 million) to their early adopters, i.e., if you played Axie Infinity before October 26th, 2020. $AXS price continues to go up as well, reaching $126.61 at the time of writing.

After Dom dropped Loot, people went crazy. It was a monumental time in the NFT space. Holders then continued to build more on top of it, from visual interpretations of Loot items to tools, and everybody was speculating whether a game would follow Loot. People even wondered, does Loot even need a game, or are we already in the game? Dom dropped a teaser website, a.quest, and he says that it will be a game open for all. You know anybody can mint a ‘synthetic loot,’ right?
The most valuable esports company TSM FTX is collaborating with a gaming project Aurory on Solana. Aurory, backed by some of the same investors as Axie Infinity, is seen as a blue-chip NFT project. Aurory NFTs, named Aurorians, will be playable avatars in the upcoming game.

NFL has partnered with Dapper Labs and will be launching its new marketplace where officially licensed NFL NFTs will be sold. While the announcement sounds like the NFL marketplace will be very similar to NBA Top Shop, Dapper Labs says that it will be ‘very different.’

During the Code 2021 Conference that takes place in Beverly Hills, the Technoking of Tesla, Elon Musk, said that governments should “do nothing” to regulate crypto. He said that “It is not possible to, I think, destroy crypto, but it is possible for governments to slow down its advancement.”

We have normalized companies and rooms being all-men for so long that when something is all-women, there is a tendency to believe the organization itself is for only women. That’s not true. It’s open for all, just coincidentally is run by an all-women team.
