The chips can be scanned with NFC technology, revealing details about the item and creating a digital copy to be used in the metaverse. Each chip is tied to an NFT on Polygon, a popular scaling solution for Ethereum. This enables the linking of physical and digital items, and also creates a new use case of offering authentication services to luxury brands. Spatial Labs was launched in 2019 by Ghanaian-American entrepreneur Iddris Sandu.

DOJ sues Google. 📳
The DOJ is taking legal action to break up Google’s ad business. The DOJ and several states are alleging that Google abused its market power and controls how the US digital ad industry operates. Google has previously faced scrutiny from antitrust authorities - the DOJ filed a separate lawsuit against the company in 2020 - but this lawsuit is noteworthy for several reasons: firstly, it marks the first major challenge against a tech giant by the Biden administration, and secondly, the DOJ has rarely pushed for big companies to break themselves up in recent decades.
