Barbados becomes the first sovereign nation with an embassy in the metaverse. They will be building their embassy in Decentraland. ⛳️
SAND token jumped 37% after it released its limited-time play-to-earn tournament. Sandbox Alpha will continue for three weeks starting November 29th, and you’ll be able to play 18 different games. 3 of them will be available to all, and the rest requires Alpha Pass NFT to play.
Joel Zimmerman or “deadmau5” is launching 3D NFTs on Polygon called head5, selling for 0.15 each. They were inspired by the “Pomegrante” music video, and owners will be able to use the heads as avatars in VR video chatting apps.

Royal, a start-up launched by 3LAU, lets artists raise money from their fans through NFT sales. They raised $55M on top of the $16M they raised through a seed round. This round, Nas and The Chainsmokers joined the raise.

Orange Comet is launching its platform with a collection of the New York Islanders NFTs.
NFL and Ticketmaster launched Ticket Stub NFTs on Polygon that will be airdropped to Ticketmaster wallets of fans who attended live games. Fans must have bought their tickets through Ticketmaster, StubHub, or SeatGeek.
Tom Brady’s platform Autograph, which recently added The Weeknd to its board of directors, is releasing 8-bit NFTs of Simone Biles.

Miramax is suing Quentin Tarantino over his plans to sell NFTs based on his movie “Pulp Fiction,” which he shared the news in NFT.NYC. Miramax says it’s a breach of contract and copyright infringement.

Gallery is a new platform where you can, well, create your own gallery. But it’s not open access - you need a token to create your own. They just raised $2.69M as well.

ConstitutionDAO raised $45M in less than a week to buy the Constitution at the Sotheby’s auction. CEO of Citadel Ken Griffin’s bid of $41M ended up being the winner, but the DAO got a lot of coverage, including from New York Times. DAO didn’t go over $41M due to auction house fees and storage costs. Nevertheless, it made history. It became the largest crowdfund for a physical object and most money crowdfunded in 72 hours. Surprisingly, it was the first ETH transaction of ~20% of the 17,437 contributors. (📜,📜)
